Survival Seeds

Designed to complement heirloom seeds, this collection of Australian native edible and medicinal plants is a must-have for any garden kit. We’ve included 10 hardy species that are frost and drought tolerant, offering high nutritional and medicinal value. These plants are proven to thrive in Australian conditions and provide real survival benefits!

The pack includes smoke-infused granules for species that need smoke pre-treatment, along with a booklet explaining growing conditions, edible uses, and medicinal information.

Medicinal Species

  • Camel Bush x 20 – Boil the bark to create an antiseptic wash for wounds.
  • Minharri – Crush the leaves, boil in water, and rub to treat headaches, colds, and rheumatism.
  • Emu Bush x 10 – Use leaf concoctions or poultices to treat sores and wounds; it’s a proven antiseptic with antibacterial properties.

Bush Tucker Species

  • Salt Bush x 12 – Salty-sweet berries can be eaten straight from the tree or boiled to make tea.
  • Bush Tomato x 6 – Fast-growing shrub with vitamin C-rich fruit; can be dried and eaten like raisins.
  • Snow Berries x 40 – Produces succulent white berries; eat raw or cook to make jams and chutneys.
  • Golden Purslane x 25 – Rapid grower; leaves make a delicious and nutritious salad substitute.
  • Camel Bush x 20 – Highly nutritious seeds that can be ground into flour for baking and damper.
  • Native Carrot x 30 – Smells and tastes like carrot; cook the small tubers before eating.
  • Native Spinach x 5 – A fantastic spinach alternative; large edible leaves can be eaten raw or cooked.

Please note that not all species are available year-round, and sometimes collectors can’t source specific seeds. We do our best to maintain a stable seed list but may substitute in some circumstances.
